We Care And We’ll Show You
We care about active duty military, veterans, and our community. Nearly a quarter (roughly 25%) of military and veteran families face food insecurity, often skipping meals, choosing between buying food or paying rent, and leaning on organizations like ours for support when times are particularly tough. Help us help them.
Our Markets Are The Difference
We operate free food markets that serve active duty military, veterans, and community members in need. Our markets provide fresh produce, deli items, prepared food, meat, bread, pastries, flowers, and more. We do not provide handouts. Our market visitors shop our markets like a grocery store, bringing dignity to free food distribution. Come visit Serving Good markets to see what a difference choice and dignity make when serving those in need.
When we opened our first market in January of 2024, we were serving between 120 and 160 families each month. As we enter 2026, we are proud to share that we have grown to serve over 1,200 families every month. Serving Good has grown to become a community that cares and serves a range of people, from active duty military, to veterans, as well as families in need. In 2026 we will continue to grow our markets in East County San Diego and offer programs that help those that need help.
